Learn about a free, at-home study program (e.g., BOCES GRASP) for adults 21 and over, who would like to prepare for the GED/TASC exam, but are unable to attend classes on a regular basis. Also, if you
attended high school in New York State and passed at least
one Regents exam you may be eligible to fast track on the
exam. Certified instructors will provide you with individual
assignments to complete at home. Pick up your assignments
at our Station Branch. Open to all. Assistance by telephone is
also available.

Military & Families Virtual Career Fair (Jobs for Entire State of NY)- February 19th
The New York National Guard Employment Support Program with VETS2TECHS will be hosting a Virtual Meet & Greet Event on February 19th from 11-1 PM. Employers representing businesses in the State of New York, will be available to answer your questions & ask you questions concerning what you would like to do for a career. They will send you a list of employers along with a link to join the event. The employers will interview you & then talk with you off line, so that they can help as many service members & their family members as possible. Unemployment Benefits Extended
The federal government has extended the federal unemployment benefit programs available through the CARES Act for an additional 11 weeks. Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) and Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC) will be available through March 14, 2021, with qualified claimants’ benefits fully phasing out by April 11, 2021. Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC) benefits will resume with $300 weekly payments until March 14, 2021. For more information, see the Continued Assistance Act FAQs.
